San Isidro Solar Power Corp. (SISPC) is asking the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) to approve its plan to connect its facility to the Visayas grid through the existing 230 kiloVolts (kV) Tabango substation in Leyte of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines.
SISPC is currently developing a 280 megawatts (MW) peak solar farm in Leyte.
In a document published by the ERC, the estimated cost of the construction of the interim connection for the dedicated facility project is P1.66 billion.
The project involves the design and supply of equipment for substation, switchyard and transmission line; installation of equipment for substation and switchyard; and the installation of equipment for transmission line system.
SISPC also seeks approval for the P852.9- million final connection equipment for transmission line system; the development of the 230 kV Tugas substation; and the remaining for general requirements.
The ERC has set a pre-trial conference for this application on August 1.
