SHOPPING on credit and paying in installment this Christmas is expected to surge this year.
Data provided by Home Credit Philippines (HCPH) showed a projected 25- percent increase in sales from P16 billion in 2023.
December 2023 sales alone stood at P7 billion.
HCPH said its forecast is based on a sales report which showed remarkable performance in popular categories from October to December last year.
Aside from the traditional bestsellers mobile phones/tablets,
HCPH also sees furniture, e-bikes, sporting goods, department store merchandise, and motorcycle units as drivers of this increase.
“Many Filipinos face the challenge of getting by day-to-day, often living paycheck to paycheck. This holiday season, we want to make it easier for everyone to enjoy this festive time of the year and more meaningful by providing offers and flexible deals,” said Puneet Suneja, HCPH chief sales officer
These include payment schemes that range from six to 24 months as well as zero interest through its 15,000 partner stores in 75 provinces nationwide.
