San Miguel Food and Beverage Inc. (SMFB), a subsidiary of San Miguel Corp., chalked up a 15 percent rise in profit for the first half of the year, amounting to hit P23 billion, from P20 billion last year
Ramon S. Ang, SMFB chairman, indicated in a regulatory filing that revenues grew 4 percent, at P201.2 billion from P193.46 billion.
San Miguel Foods grossed P94.4 billion, up 7 percent from P88.22 billion.
San Miguel Brewery posted a profit of P13 billion, up 3 percent from P12.62 billion. The group’s spirits business grew by 16 percent in net income at P4.2 billion from P3.62 billion.
