The Philippines is seen matching pre-pandemic sales at the ongoing 20th China-Asean Expo (CAEXPO) in Nanning, China.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) reported initial numbers indicate $3.8 million worth of orders from 15 companies participating at the premier trade event that closes today.
The DTI added durian, calamansi, and banana chips are the bestsellers.
In the 2019 edition of CAEXPO, sales reached $12 million for 51 exhibitors.
This year’s participants are mostly; from the provinces, according to the DTI.
Food, fashion, home and services were exhibited.
