Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI), the retail arm of the Gokongwei Group of Companies, said its profit last year hit P10.27 billion, up 150.6 percent from P4.1 billion in 2023.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday, RRHI said its revenues grew 3.7 percent at P199.17 billion from P192.13 billion in 2023.
The operator of retail spaces like Robinsons Supermarket, DIY and The Generics Pharmacy said its core profit increased by 12.3 percent to P6.3 billion from P5.43 billion the prior year.
The company said it recorded a windfall from the sale of its banking business, Robinsons Bank, to the Bank of the Philippine Islands early last year.
The growth in sales was boosted by a sustained growth of the food and drugstore businesses, alongside incremental sales from new stores, it added.
“Blended same store sales growth for the period was at 1.5 percent,” the company said.
Meanwhile, Universal Robina Corp. (URC), another Gokongwei company, announced that Anna Milagros David was named president of its branded consumer foods business in the Philippines, a division under the food group.
