Retailer sees spending rebound

Following a robust performance in the first nine months of the year and decelerating inflation, Puregold expects consumer spending to rebound for the rest of 2024.

Puregold sees its strategic focus on affordability will enable it to maintain its position as a key player in retail, adding it will continue to adopt operational efficiency measures and strengthen supplier relationships to make its products affordable to consumers.

The recent decline in inflation—from 3.3 percent in August to 1.9 percent in September offers significant financial relief to Filipino households, it added.
