Vivant Energy Corp.’s retail electricity arm COREnergy is optimistic more qualified customers will avail of retail power services as the country is gearing towards much lenient pandemic restrictions.
The company recorded retail electricity supply (RES) customer growth in 2020 and 2021 in the midst of the pandemic.
“COREnergy onboarded several new RES accounts, delivered cost saving energy-related engineering solutions to key customers and despite significant supply chain and logistics issues, commissioned a few solar rooftop projects in multiple areas,” said Al Douglas Villaos, COREnergy president.
The company did not provide figures.
Apart from being a licensed supplier for RES, COREnergy also offers solar and energy engineering solutions to businesses and industries under the retail competition open access regime which allows customers to freely choose their power suppliers if they qualify for an average monthly consumption threshold currently at 500 kilowatts.
Villaos said COREnergy’s performance in the past two years indicates many business owners have realized the importance of having flexible, reliable and cost-effective electricity.
“COREnergy as a one-stop-shop energy solutions provider is perfectly positioned to meet the demands of a wide range of businesses that want to be ahead when the economy recovers,” Villaos added.
Earlier, Vivant Corp., Vivant Energy and COREnergy’s parent firm, announced that it is ready to invest up to P6.4 billion until 2023 for investments in both power and water infrastructure projects P5 billion of which will be spent for the power business with a current goal of hiking the portfolio from 387 megawatts (MW) to 500 MW by 2023 with a focus on renewable energy.
