Vehicle sales in the first quarter of 2025 rose 6.8 percent to 117,074 units from 109,600 units in the same period in 2024, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines. Inc. (Campi) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) said in a joint report.

The report released on Monday quoted Campi and TMA as saying commercial vehicle sales increased by 13.9 percent from January to March to 92,742 units, compared with 81,395 units in the corresponding period last year.

The increase more than made up for the 13.7 percent decline in passenger car sales, which stood at 24,332 units from 28,211 units in the same quarter of 2024, it said
