Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Co. (PT&T) has signed partnership with US-based technology firm, Maxava to deliver disaster recovery solution for the Philippine market.
Maxava is a worldwide provider of innovative monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions for IBM power systems. It serves more than 500 customers in over 40 countries, providing 24×7 supports directly through regional offices located in North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific.
PT&T has transformed into an IT Ssrvices provider offering cloud, security, disaster recovery and other solutions in the past year under new management.
In the first quarter this year, PT&T was able to grow its operating revenue by 41 percent despite the impact of the Taal Volcano eruptions in January and starts of enhanced community quarantine in March.
