Government yesterday launched an electronic reporting system that enables consumers to submit online their complaints related to e-commerce transactions.
The e-Report will be a new feature within the eGovPH App and is in accordance with Section 9 or Referral and Tracking of Complaints of Republic Act No. 11967 or the Internet Transactions Act of 2023.
The provision mandates the E-Commerce Bureau to refer and track such complaints and coordinate their speedy resolution.
The system enhances online consumer protection by providing a mechanism for verified eGovPH App users to report concerns via their mobile devices.
The eReport is a dedicated platform designed to streamline and centralize the reporting and resolution of consumer complaints related to online transactions. This also promotes transparency and improves government responsiveness to consumer concerns.
