PAVI Green Renewable Energy nc. signed an agreement with PMFTC Inc. for the installation of a 7 megawatts (MW) solar rooftop power system in the latter’s manufacturing facility in Tanauan City, Batangas.

In a statement yesterday, PAVI Green said the project is expected to be completed by October 2023.

The solar rooftop power system will reduce PMFTC Inc.’s carbon emissions by approximately 9,811.2 tons of carbon dioxide or equivalent to offsetting carbon by planting 304,147 to 451,315 trees or 1,001,527 gallons of gasoline consumption.

It is also expected to be one of the largest single commercial solar operations in the country as its output is enough to meet the requirements of the 100-hectare manufacturing plant.

PMFTC said the project is part of its sustainability efforts to explore the use of alternative technological solutions including solar power to achieve carbon neutrality in their direct operations by 2025.

PAVI Green is working on three large-scale solar projects including the 20 MW in Bataan which will be completed this year, the 26MW scalable up to 75MW in Camarines Norte and the 50MW scalable up to 75MW in Naga.

The company also recently bagged a 40.4 MW solar power plant project at the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program early this year which has the potential to energize around 15,000 households in the city annually, upon implementation. – Jed Macapagal
