PLDT Inc. subsidiary PLDT Enterprise has partnered with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur (PG CamSur) to integrate Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology into its operations.
Under the partnership, PLDT Satellite Internet, through Starlink, will provide reliable internet access even in remote communities. This initiative is part of PLDT Enterprise’s commitment to equip LGUs with flexible, end-to-end digital solutions that enable better governance and inclusive growth.
Starlink technology was first deployed by the Camarines Sur LGU during the May 2025 national elections, helping ensure secure communications in far-flung voting precincts with limited traditional network access.
The solution has since been adopted by the province to support a range of mission-critical services, including education, where it enhances online learning access for students in rural schools.
“This collaboration with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur is a clear demonstration of how innovation and trust can bridge the digital divide,” Ruby Montoya, Enterprise vice president and head of enterprise revenue group said in a statement on September 17.
