Pilmico and Gold Coin Group expects the completion of the expansion of its feed mills in China and Vietnam by the first half of the year.

The Yunnan facility will initially produce150,000 metric tons (MT) per annum which can be increased to 270,000 MT while the Long An facility will initially handle about 200,000 MT and ramped up to 300,000 MT.
The Group’s focus areas include finding ways to optimize businesses across the region to grow in the areas of meats, aqua feeds, pet food and specialty nutrition.
Aboitiz said optimization works will also be pursued in the flour milling and livestock farms businesses.
“…I believe there’s a lot of value that can still be captured through the continuous refinement of our operations and pursuit of commercial excellence. I think we operate in a market that’s quite different from that of a few years ago and I believe that difference has created opportunities there for us to further entrance ourselves as a supplier of choice to our customers,” Aboitiz added.
The Pilmico and Gold Coin Group said it is also keen on developing capabilities to ensure production of goods that are “more relevant to the needs of our customers at the lowest possible cost.”
Pilmico and Gold Coin Group is involved in the production of flour, animal feeds, pet foods and meat.
Based on the company’s website, Pilmico currently has over 29 facilities in nine countries including the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore.
The website also mentioned that the company’s total annual capacity in terms of feed mills is at 4.2 million MT to date.
