AMIDST the enhanced community quarantine, Philjets Group continues to operate charter flight services to transport stranded foreign tourists as well as cargo carrying medical supply and equipment between the Philippines and China.
In a statement, Philjets said it has evacuated 144 foreign passengers in a single day, on April 8, by coordinating a total of five private charter flights from Boracay, Siargao, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan and Davao to Manila from where they took other flights back to their home countries.
In total, 101 German and 10 French nationals were flown by PhilJets using a variety of aircraft manufactured in Canada such as the Bombardier Q400, in the US such as the Cessna 206 and in Germany such as the Dornier 328.
All passengers were able to connect with their corresponding flights for Frankfurt and Paris on the same day.
Despite managing a fleet of 17 aircraft including 9 helicopters and 8 private jets, PhilJets had to use its industry partners’ aircraft to support the mission: Philippine Airlines, Platinum Skies Aviation and Asian Aerospace
PhilJet also transports protective personal equipment and other various equipment including masks, gowns, gloves, both from China to the Philippines and international cargo flights.
PhilJets is under Singapore-based Starline Global Industries Group which also owns PhilJets Aero Services, Inc. and PhilJets Aero Charter Corp.
