iQor, one of the world’s largest business process outsourcing companies providing customer service, continues to push the Philippines as a location for its clients, citing its crucial role in the company’s global footprint.
Rod Hoddinot, senior vice president and general manager for Digital and Emerging Technology at iQor said 75 percent of the company’s 45,000 workforce are based in the Philippines where it has 16 facilities, mostly in the provinces.
The company also continued to generate employment opportunities for Visayas-based talents.
Despite 20 months of continuous lockdown, iQor opened over 4,000 positions in Iloilo in 2021, offering both work-at-home (WAH) and onsite arrangements.
Hoddinot said IQor was able to turn the pandemic into a positive situation through WAH and technology that enabled the company to deliver better performance.
While there are no specific plans for expansion, IQor said it has noted strong interest from customers and verticals in general.
The WAH arrangement, Hoddinot said, has given IQor access to a larger pool of employees and provided it flexibility that increased manpower productivity that in turn led to lower attrition and higher client satisfaction.
