Petro Energy Resources Corp. (PERC) subsidiary Petro Green Energy Corp. (PGEC) secured key permits from Bugallon, Pangasinan, related to the latter’s 25 megawatts (MW) solar power project in the province.
The local government unit granted permits to PGEC this month, with the corresponding pre-construction building permit to be issued in time for the target start of development in January 2024.
PGEC said the Bugallon solar power project will be located in a 25-hectare site and is expected to supply clean and renewable power in the area by last quarter of 2024.
The project is capable of generating 41,000 megawatt hours of power annually and offset as much as 29,056 metric tons of carbon emissions.
The Sangguniang Bayan of Bugallon had earlier issued a resolution interposing no objection on the renewable energy project.
