The Bureau of Treasury (BTr) partially awarded tenders to its P15 billion fund raising Monday, despite strong demand.

National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon said the awards were benchmarked against current market levels.

The BTr auctioned yesterday P5 billion each of the 91-day, 182-days, and 364-days Treasury bills, which attracted a combined bid of P23.35 billion.

The BTr, however, only sold P9.14 billion, divided into P3.04 billion for the 91-days, P7.22 billion for the 182-days, and P7.17 billion for the 364-days.

The 91-day maturing T-bill attracted P8.96 billion in bids, while the 182-days attracted P7.22 billion and the 364-days attracted 7.17 billion.

Average coupon was at 1.305 percent, 1.458 percent, and 1.734 percent respectively.
