THE Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) has partially awarded the reissued 20-year treasury bonds during yesterday’s auction.

With a remaining term of 14 years and seven months, the reissued bond series was awarded at an average rate of 6.781 percent.

Had a full award been made, the rate would have been 6.801 percent.

The Bloomberg Valuation Service reference rate for the 15-year tenor is 6.769 percent.

The auction was 1.5 times oversubscribed with total tenders reaching P46.3 billion.

With its decision, the BTr raised P24 billion out of the P30 billion offering.

This brings the total outstanding volume for the series to P139.3 billion.

Last Monday, the BTr fully awarded bids for the offered treasury bills as rates fell below prevailing secondary market levels.

The auction was 2.7 times oversubscribed, attracting P40.3 billion in total tenders.

The BTr raised the full program of P15 billion for the auction.
