Jose Pardo and Ramon Monzon will remain as the chairman and president/chief executive officer, respectively, of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
At the PSE’s shareholders meeting Saturday, Employers Confederation of the Philippines chairman Edgardo Lacson was elected director of the PSE, rejoining the board Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) as a director after three years.
Pardo has been a PSE independent director since January 2011 and the PSE’s chairman since May 2011.
Monzon has been the PSE’s president since May 2017.
Lacson was elected as a non-broker director representing other market participants, replacing Tomas Alcantara
Prior to his reelection, Lacson was part of the PSE’s Board from May 2011 to July 2021.
The PSE Board is comprised of one president-director, five broker-directors, and nine non-brokers.
The directors will serve for a term of one year, from July 2024 to June 2025.
The other non-broker directors who were re-elected were Ferdinand Constantino and Jose Arnulfo Veloso as directors representing investors and Marilyn Victorio-Aquino as director representing issuers.
Pardo, Leonardo-De Castro, Peter Favila, Andrew Jerome Gan and Vicente Panlilio ere re-elected as independent directors.
Broker- directors who will serve a fresh mandate are Diosdado Arroyo, Eddie Gobing, Wilson Sy, Anthony Te and Ma. Vivian Yuchengco.
