Philippine Airlines (PAL) and its subsidiary PAL Express (PALex) have passed the global safety audit of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
PAL and PALex said in a statement yesterday they have completed their respective IATA Operational Safety Audits (IOSA), an internationally recognized safety evaluation system of the IATA that assesses the operational management and control systems of an airline.
Conducted every two years, the IOSA is accepted by top government authorities as the gold standard in airline safety assessments.
The IOSA audit affirms that PAL and PAL Express are committed to adhere to safety standards in the areas of flight operations, aircraft engineering and maintenance, organization and management, operational control and flight dispatch, cabin operations, ground handling operations, cargo operations, and security management.
This is its ninth consecutive successful IOSA renewal. The new IOSA registration is valid until April 10, 2025.
