Pag-IBIG Fund eyes to release P105 billion worth of home loans, topping by 5 percent last year’s record of P100 billion.
This after the agency reported it released P40.41 billion in home loans in January to May, a record for any five-month period.
Pag-IBIG said in a statement the amount is 15 percent higher than the P35.28 billion released in the same period in 2021.
The Fund added the amount financed the acquisition and construction of 36,865 homes for members, 5 percent higher than the 34,979 homes financed during the same period last year.
Of the total number of homes financed, 6,787 or 18 percent were socialized housing units for minimum-wage and low-income workers and their families.
