P800M Mandaluyong sewer  completed by Q4 of 2025

MANILA Water Co. Inc. is eyeing to complete the P800- million package 3A and 3B segment of the Mandaluyong West Sewer Network by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The project expands sewer services coverage in the East Zone that will also aid in the restoration of Manila Bay.

The company said the P306-million package A and the P494 million package B sewer pipelaying projects are vital sections of the 52.5-kilometer Mandaluyong West-San Juan and South Quezon City Sewerage System (MandaWest Project).

The MandaWest project has a total budget of P4.2 billion and is targeted to benefit over 700,000 customers in Mandaluyong, Quezon City and San Juan by 2037.

The MandaWest Project includes a 6- million liter per day sewage treatment plant equipped with a biological nutrient removal system, a major pump, 13 lift stations, 276 interceptor boxes and a 16-channel interceptor.

Manila Water said the project will also ensure that wastewater from customers is properly collected and processed before being released to waterways.

“Wastewater projects like MandaWest packages 3A and 3B are important to Manila Water’s sustainability goals as we continue to expand our sewage and sanitation services to the entire East Zone,” said Jeric Sevilla, Manila Water corporate communications affairs group director, in a statement.
