THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) targets the Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural Terminal Inc. (NVAT) to be the first internationally-compliant digital-payment-ready agri-terminal in the Philippines.

As part of its three-year Food Logistics Action Plan, the DTI is rolling out a QR (quick response) code payment system in NVAT to improve efficiency and transparency in agricultural supply chains.

Digital payment solutions at NVAT, automating essential processes such as parking and lease payments are essential components in easing transactions, the DTI said.
