The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System-Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) has directed Manila Water Company Inc. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. to suspend all service disconnection activities in areas placed under alert level 5 and granular lockdowns.
This will ensure unimpeded supply of water to customers, said Patrick Ty, MWSS-RO chief regulator.
Ty encouraged customers from areas not under alert level 5 or granular lockdown to settle their bills to ensure continuity of services.

Ty said the concessionaires were also directed to provide economic relief and consideration through flexible payment terms for customers. – Jed Macapagal
