NG doubling efforts to fasttrack completion of Davao infra projects

THE national government is doubling efforts to expedite the completion of infrastructure projects in the Davao region to help uplift the lives of residents and promote the development of the region, according to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The President, in his speech yesterday during the distribution of assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families in Tagum City, said many changes have happened in the region since the campaign period of 2022 and more could be expected under his administration.

Marcos said some of the ongoing projects in the region include the Mawab-Maragusan-Caraga Road, Carmen-Tagum City Coastal Road, Tagum City Bypass Road and the Mindanao Railway Project Phase 1.

He said these projects are nearing completion and are expected to fast-track development in the area once finished.

The President said construction of the seven-storey Davao Regional Medical Center in Apokon, Tagum City, which is seen to bring quality healthcare and medical services in the region, is also ongoing, along with the New Visayas-Tulalian Farm-to-Market Road that will improve transport of agricultural products to the market.

Marcos said he had also ordered the Department of Public Works and Highways to fast-track the completion of flood control projects in Davao Region.
