PLDT Inc. international unit PLDT Global Corp. has launched its newest one-stop gateway, Tindahan ni Bossing or TINBO, that will allow Filipinos overseas to directly pay for their families’ expenses and help manage their finances better.
“TINBO aims to empower overseas Filipinos to be the bossings of diskarte at alaga. They can still directly pay for their families’ expenses and effectively manage their finances better through Maya, even if they are oceans away,” Albert Villa-Real, PLDT Global president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
“We continuously search for ways to deliver reliable and convenient services to Filipinos overseas, and provide a platform for local businesses to reach an international/offshore market of over a million OFWs around the world,” he added.
Available via tinbo.ph, overseas Filipinos can access services for their connectivity and financial needs through Maya. They can sign up for a TINBO number (Smart Virtual Number) that would serve as their virtual Philippine mobile number while outside the country.
A TINBO number enables users to receive calls and texts even without a physical SIM card and allows them to receive their secured OTP for bills payment, e-government services and other-related transactions. They can also purchase prepaid load for their mobile, pay TV and internet needs using the TINBO number.
PLDT Global has also partnered with Smart Communications Inc., fintech and payment collection system Bayad, digital bank Maya and health app mWell to provide a suite of services that overseas Filipino workers need to stay connected as they look after their families’ needs in the Philippines. – Myla Iglesias
