Motorcycle ride-hailing firm Move It is targeting to have one million app users by yearend as it expands its coverage in key cities in Metro Manila, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro in the next two months.
Wayne Jacinto, Move It general manager, said in a press briefing yesterday the company is on track to achieve the 15,000 rider- partner cap in the next two months.
The company has over 6,500 rider partners and over 100,000 passengers, according to Jacinto.
He said of the 1 million target, Move It expects 30 to 40 percent will use the app at the same time.
Move It operates in key cities in Metro Manila including Parañaque, Pasay, Taguig, Makati, Pateros, Pasig, Mandaluyong, Manila, San Juan, Southern Quezon City and Marikina.
Jacinto said the company also operates in Cebu with over 1,000 rider partners and will start to operate in Cagayan de Oro in the next two months once it secures approval of the local government.
The y also launched its upgraded mobile app which guarantees a 99.95 percent uptime, ensuring a seamless booking experience especially during peak hours.
“Through our enhanced app, our rider-partners will benefit from improved efficiency, enabling them to earn more, while our passengers will enjoy a user-friendly and more intuitive interface, ensuring seamless and convenient MC Taxi experiences,” said Jacinto.
Move It said safety remains key in its upgraded app. The in-app voice over internet protocol calling feature ensures privacy and convenience, eliminating the need for third-party communication apps.
Move It also introduced the Share-My-Ride feature that enables users to easily share ride details with loved ones, ensuring constant updates on their location during their ride.
Its 24/7 Safety Center provides round-the-clock emergency assistance.
Integrating GrabMaps and Navigation, an advanced online mapping system powered by Grab’s extensive data, Move It provides optimized routing that adapts to real-time road changes and updates. This integration ensures precise pinning for pickup and drop-off locations, significantly improving the overall user experience. – Myla Iglesias
