THE Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC)said all electricity consumers in Iloilo City must pay their bills to MORE Power, the recognized distribution utility (DU) in the area.
In an advisory, the regulatory body said all concerns of electricity consumers in Iloilo City such as application for new connections and system maintenance must also be addressed to and acted upon by MORE Power but all other issues pertaining to supply and billings prior to the operation of the said DU shall be resolved by the ERC itself.
Last month, the Department of Energy said it expects electricity service to improve in Iloilo City as MORE Power starts the rollout of its P1.8- billion modernization program for the city’s aged distribution system.
MORE Power has assured it will work on providing a reliable, safe and cheap supply of electricity.
The modernization of the city’s power distribution system is expected to improve its efficiency, cut systems losses and give Iloilo a more reliable, safer and cheaper electricity supply.
