West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. is set to start producing this month an initial 5.5 million liters per day (MLD) of potable water from its newly constructed modular treatment plant (ModTP) in Imus, Cavite.
The company said the P2.12 billion Anabu facility that will get raw water supply from the Anabu river is one of four ModTPs that Maynilad is constructing in the Cavite area that will serve as a dedicated supply source for Imus, which does not yet have 24-hour water supply due to its distance from the Angat dam in Bulacan.
Maynilad added the initial 5.5 MLD output is enough to supply the needs of more than 13,000 customers.
The company said once the Anabu ModTP becomes fully operational by the latter part of the year, it can produce a total of 16 MLD which can serve around 114,000 people in the area.
