Metro Retail Stores Group Inc. has relaunched a fashion brand, targeting a slice of the $5.35 billion apparel market.
Joel Orense, MRSGI president and chief operating officer, said the relaunch reflects the company’s “ongoing commitment to elevate everyday living through products that balance design, quality, and value.”
The initiative positions the company for a slice of the $5.35 billion market, according to market research firm Statista.
Controlled by the Gaisano family of Cebu, MRSGI said that the relaunched in-house fashion brand, Blue Camp, sports a “refreshed look and sharper identity.”
“With improved designs, upgraded fabrics, and accessible price points, Blue Camp repositions itself as the everyday style partner for modern Filipinos who value both fashion and affordability,” it said in a statement.
Initially known for shirts and jeans, Blue Camp has now evolved into “a brand with a sharper focus and broader appeal,” MRSGI said.
The revitalized line offers a broader selection of casual wear, wardrobe basics, and fashion-forward pieces for men, women, teens, and kids.
“By upgrading Blue Camp’s fabrics and fashion-forward designs, MRSGI positions the brand as a budget-friendly option and a go-to destination for versatile everyday wear,” Orense said.
The relaunch is part of MRSGI’s broader strategy to strengthen its portfolio of private labels across fashion, home, and lifestyle categories, offering both differentiation and value, according to Orense.
