MerryMart Consumer Corp. said is putting up stand-alone supermarkets in Laguna and in Tarlac under lease contracts with Ayala Land Inc.
The company said the leases cover 15 years for both locations, Ayala Land’s Nuvali in Laguna ang Cresendo in Tarlac.
MerryMart Grocery-Nuvali will have 2,261.21 square meters (sq.m.) of retail space while MerryMart Grocery-Cresendo will have 2,076.90 sq.m.
The new stand-alone full-sized supermarket design of MerryMart Grocery will be the format intended for locations in sprawling horizontal communities. It is intended to be an eco-friendly supermarket with roof solar panels, LED lighting fixtures, and use of power efficient equipment with bicycle slots and electric car charging provisions.
