The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) through its subsidiary, MSpectrum Inc., has energized the solar rooftop facility of Japanese manufacturer Citizen Finedevice Philippines Corp. in Batangas.
The companies inaugurated the 726 kilowatt-peak solar project at Citizen Finedevice’s manufacturing facility in Sto. Tomas expected to generate approximately 1.055 gigawatt hours of clean energy every year.
The rooftop solar project will allow Citizen Finedevice to reduce its carbon footprint by an estimated 751 metric tons, translating to more than 34,500 trees planted and more than 1.8 million kilometers reduced in vehicle travel per year.

Citizen Finedevice is a manufacturing company focused on the production and sale of precise metal machined components for various gadgets and devices.
