Megaworld Corp. will open the P64- billion, 1,500-room Grand Westside Hotel at the Entertainment City before the end of the year, the company said in a statement.

Once opened, the 19-story, two-tower hotel inside the Alliance Global Group’s 31-hectare Westside City in the complex will become the biggest hotel development in the Philippines in terms of total room keys.

“Grand Westside Hotel will offer a variety of room types and sizes, ranging from Queen Suites (up to 48 square meters), Twin Suites (up to 48 sq.m.) and Executive Suites (up to 48 sq.m.). It will also have Twin Suites (35 sq.m.) and Queen Suites (37 sq.m.) designed specifically for specially-abled guests,” the company said.

Cleofe Albiso, Megaworld Hotels & Resorts managing director, said Grand Westside Hotel will be the biggest hotel property in the company’s portfolio and in the entire country to date.

The hotel will be a short drive away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) via the NAIA Expressway and will feature a two-level retail and commercial space covering 1,995 sq.m. in floor area.

It will also have four function rooms, three of which can be combined to form a bigger hall good for events with up to 300 people, as well as a fitness gym and massage rooms.

The hotel will feature four dining outlets, including the Grand Westside Café, an all-day dining restaurant serving a combination of Filipino and international cuisines and can accommodate nearly 250 persons. There will also be an Executive Lounge, exclusive to VIP guests, that can host up to 52 persons, Megaworld said.

Other features are the Zabana Bar on the ground floor and a pool bar on the fifth floor.

To be managed and operated by Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, Grand Westside Hotel is the 19th hotel property launched by Megaworld and the second homegrown hotel brand to rise inside Westside City–the first being the 529-room Kingsford Hotel Manila.

The first tower of Grand Westside Hotel is slated for opening this year, while the second tower will welcome guests by 2024.
