Megaworld builds second hotel in Palawan estate

Megaworld Corp. is building its second hotel inside its 462-hectare Paragua Coastown in San Vicente, Palawan.

The 10-story Paragua Sands Hotel will offer 313 guest rooms and suites, ideal for tourists and travelers visiting the picturesque town of San Vicente, Megaworld said.

The room types and sizes range from twin (up to 32 square meters), queen (up to 32.5 sq.m.), junior (up to 61 sq.m.), executive (up to 60.5 sq.m.) and presidential (140 sq.m.) suites.

Megaworld said the hotel will also have dedicated specially-abled suites of up to 34 sq.m. for guests needing special room arrangements.

Cleofe Albiso, Megaworld Hotels and Resorts managing director, said Paragua Sands Hotel will be a five-minute walk to both the beach and the mangrove reserve park which will form part of the community.

The property will sit right beside Savoy Hotel Palawan and Oceanfront Premier Residences, the first hotel and residential condominium developments in the township, respectively, and surrounded by lots from the soon-to-rise Mercato Shophouse District nearby.

Paragua Sands Hotel facilities and amenities include its own swimming pool and kiddie pool, a pool deck with seating area, an outdoor deck and balconies, a kid’s club, spa with treatment rooms, fitness center with yoga area, and male and female changing rooms with wet and dry sauna.

The hotel will also feature a ballroom that can accommodate up to 220 people, function rooms that can host up to 80 individuals, and meeting rooms that can have up to 66 people. There will also be a business center with four workstations, Albiso said.

Paragua Sands Hotel will also feature four food and beverage outlets, a gift shop and retail spaces.

Paragua Sands Hotel is scheduled for opening in 2029 and will be managed and operated by Megaworld Hotels & Resorts. It will be the 20th home brand launched by Megaworld.
