The Land Transportation Management System (LTMS), developed by the joint venture (JV) of Dermalog, Holy Family Printing Corp. and Microgenesis Business Systems, has significantly improved the efficiency and convenience of various processes at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) following the delivery of 28 million driver’s licenses.
The Dermalog JV said the LTO, through LTMS, has issued 28 million driver’s licenses, translating to about 30,000 a day who have experienced a fast and easy renewal process.
“If the 28 million driver’s licenses were not issued in LTMS, P1.932 billion in computer fees would have been charged to the driving public,” Dermalog JV said in a statement.
For the 70,000 to 80,000 motor vehicle registrations a day in LTMS, the motoring public has also saved between P3.123 billion and P3.245 billion every year in computer fees.
LTMS’ full and complete service offering in motor vehicle transactions is being used extensively when buying a new motor vehicle, renewing the motor vehicle registration or performing a miscellaneous transaction.
