Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC) yesterday announced the schedule of the road closure in Parañaque City as it ramps up construction works for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) line 1 Cavite extension project.
In a statement, LRT-1 private operator LRMC said it performs non-stop works for Phase 1 of the 11.7-kilometer LRT-1 Cavite extension project, with a 73 percent overall progress rate as of end-August.
This covers the ongoing electromechanical works such as the laying of rails and installation of the electrical system, as well as the construction of the additional five new LRT-1 stations under Phase 1: Redemptorist, MIA, PITX Asia World, Ninoy Aquino and Dr. Santos.
LRMC said trackwork installation is now halfway complete with recent activities such as the simultaneous installations of pre-track assembly, shear connector, rebar, formworks support for track plinth, concrete pouring and derailment wall. – Myla Iglesias
