LIMA Estate obtained BERDE-district five-star certification, the first industrial estate in the country to receive the accreditation.
BERDE stands for Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence. BERDE district five-star certification validates LIMA is at par with global standards.
Philippine Green Building Council developed the BERDE program in 2009 to proactively address the adverse impacts of climate change. The program, which has been recognized by the government, established the country’s own national voluntary green building rating system to facilitate sustainable projects that consecutively aims to inspire confidence and build trust in the property industry.
“This accomplishment…is also an opportunity to raise the profile of industrial estates in the Philippines, and to help raise awareness across the region that sustainability is not only present, but that it’s at the forefront of what we do,” said Raphael Fernandez de Mesa, LIMA Land Inc. president.
