ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (Philippines) is set to operate its largest carrier neutral data center facility in Fairview, Quezon City, to serve the increasing demand for digital consumption, cloud adoption and artificial intelligence (AI) applications of its enterprise clients.
STT GDC Philippines — a joint venture between Globe Telecom Inc., Ayala Corp. and ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), one of the fastest-growing data center service providers headquartered in Singapore — said it has completed the STT Fairview 1 structural framework and is on track for Phase 1 operation by the second quarter of 2025.
“With STT Fairview 1 nearing completion, we are eager to provide our customers with world-class, AI-ready data center solutions that set a new standard in connectivity and innovation,” Carlo Malana, STT GDC Philippines president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
The STT Fairview campus has a total design capacity of 124 megawatts (MW). This new site will cater to the increasing demands of hyperscalers and AI companies in need of high power capacity, advanced cooling technologies and secure and reliable data center services, the company said.
STT GDC Philippines said once fully completed, STT Fairview 1 becomes one of its seven data centers in the Philippines collectively offering a design IT capacity exceeding 150 MW and all operating on 100 percent renewable energy, across Metro Manila, Cavite and Davao.
The demand for advanced data centers continues to grow in the Philippines, fueled by increasing digital consumption, cloud adoption and AI applications, it added.
STT GDC Philippines said its facilities are ready to support high-performance computing and machine learning requirements.
STT Fairview 1 is set to play a critical role in this evolution, reinforcing the company’s position as a partner for secure, reliable and sustainable data center services in the region.
Last August, the company opened its upgraded facility in Makati City, another milestone in its expansion efforts to raise the country’s data center capacity to respond to increasing demand.
Data Hall F of STT Makati, formerly known as Globe MK2 Data Center, was launched after renovations and expansion, the company said, enhancing its service offerings and capacity to meet clients’ data needs.
STT Makati has a total IT load capacity of over 5MW.
