Jollibee Foods Corp. eyes leadership in the quick service restaurant (QSR) industry in Vietnam.
“With Vietnam’s continued economic development and growing population, we see huge growth prospects for Jollibee in the country,” said Ernesto Tanmantiong, Jollibee chief executive officer.
With 158 stores in Vietnam as of the first quarter of the year, Jollibee plans to build more stores as it maximizes the capacity of its present commissary that is capable of servicing 400 stores.
“We intend to focus… our investment in key cities and developing areas,” Tanmantiong said.
“Year-on-year, Jollibee Vietnam continued to post strong double-digit systemwide and same-store sales growth, with dine-in exceeding pre-pandemic levels and off-premise channels growing by high double digits even as customers return to stores,” he added.
Now the third biggest QSR brand in Vietnam, Jollibee caters to a 100 percent local customer base, Tanmantiong said.
