Jollibee Foods Corp. is closing for three days its Jollibee Bonifacio Global City franchised store after it got involved in a food sanitation issue where a towel accidentally mixed with its Chicken Joy products was delivered to a customer.
“We have directed the Jollibee Bonifacio-Stop over branch to close for three days starting June 3 to thoroughly review its compliance with procedures and retrain its store team to ensure that this will not happen again. We will also send out reminders to all stores to ensure the strict adherence to Jollibee’s food preparation systems,” it added.
The decision stemmed from a customer complaint posted on social media, where Facebook user Alique Perez shared a photo of the what was supposedly her order of a Chicken Joy but was instead a deep-fried crumpled towel with breading.
