ACCOUNTING, information and communication technology (ICT) and sales have been the most sought-after jobs in the Philippines over the last three months, online job portal Jobstreet by SEEK said on Wednesday.
In a statement, Jobstreet by SEEK said the ranking is based on the postings of prospective employers through the platform.
With an average of 130,000 job postings in any given month, it said accounting had a share of 11.81 percent of total job postings; ICT, 11.14 percent and; sales, 10.10 percent.
The company said it recorded 15,357 job postings for accounting during the last three months; ICT at 14,486 and sales, 13,125.
Aside from accounting, sales and marketing and communications are the largest movers in the list, offering more job vacancies in the last three months, Jobstreet by SEEK added.
It said jobs in call center and customer service ranked fourth, with 9.98 percent, followed by manufacturing, transport and logistics (8.12 percent), administration and office support (6.43 percent), retail and consumer products (5.40 percent), marketing and communications (5.09 percent), human resources and recruitment (5.09 percent and; engineering (4.74 percent).
The company said job availability posted online is especially timely as the country welcomes a new batch of graduates into the workforce.
