Digital business services provider TP, a member of the Teleperformance Group, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the City Government of Muntinlupa and the Muntinlupa City Technical Institute (MCTI).
The MOA will enable students of MCTI and those enrolled under the local government’s Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) program to undergo real-world training with the IT-BPM firm.
Under the agreement, TP will provide MCTI and SIL beneficiaries with exposure and hands-on training to prepare them for employment in the information technology and business process management industry.
Jeffrey Johnson, chief people officer of TP-Philippines, said, “Building a strong talent pipeline is at the heart of our work in human resources, and this partnership with MCTI is a powerful step forward.”
“By giving students real-world training and a clear pathway to employment, we are not just investing in their future, but in the future of the IT-BPM industry itself. We are excited to welcome the next generation of talent and help them launch meaningful careers right here in Muntinlupa City,” he said in a statement on Tuesday, September 23.
He has told the Philippine News Agency that the upskilling program does not have a set number of enrollees. Still, it forms part of the city’s “7K Agenda,” referring to the local government’s various programs aimed at providing residents with job opportunities, healthcare, and other benefits.
“Through partnerships with the private sector, the initiative aims to strengthen livelihood opportunities and enhance the employability of its constituents,” Johnson said.
The partnership with the Muntinlupa local government is among TP’s collaborations with the public sector, according to Johnson.
Earlier in 2025, the company signed agreements with the Bacolod City Government and the Bacolod City College (BCC) for the latter’s adoption of the @SENSO Life Skills Academy Training Program; and with the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) for the tie-up under the TP Launchpad, both of which were targeted to build stronger academe-industry linkages.
