Eastern Communications has sealed a partnership with local community antenna television firm Mendez Cable TV Inc. and internet service provider Clare Cable TeleVision to expand its business in South Luzon.
“This helps recognize our goal of expanding our regional presence and likewise help our Ka-Easterns get the connectivity that they deserve. Cavite and Batangas are identified as key areas for us at Eastern, and with these partnerships, we hope to see its residents and local businesses flourish,” said Michael Castañeda, Eastern head of sales.
Through the partnership, Eastern will provide Mendez Cable TV its Internet Direct Service (IDS), reinforcing the local provider’s connectivity services to residential and commercial customers within the 24 barangays of Mendez and 36 barangays of Indang in Cavite.
Eastern’s IDS is a country-centric and dedicated high-speed internet service that offers lower latency and better quality of service to customers who require very particular connectivity requirements.
The reliable speed of IDS is highly recommended for provinces like Mendez as this will allow local subscribers to enjoy an improved network experience and help businesses fulfill their day-to-day operations smoothly, the company said.
Established in the municipality of Mendez from where the company took its name, Mendez Cable TV provides cable TV and internet connectivity services to Cavite province for over 18 years, including interconnection with larger telecommunications companies for fiber optic services, among others.
Meanwhile, Eastern will also provide Clare Cable TeleVision with IDS allocation to further strengthen the local provider’s services to its over 2,000 customers in the towns of Taal, San Luis and Sta. Teresita in Batangas, as the operator expands.
