Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) has produced 8 million motorcycle units as of April as it marks its 51st anniversary this year.
HPI is the leading motorcycle manufacturer in the country and produces motorcycles that cater to various needs, including commuting, solo use and leisure as well as business.
HPI’s 20-hectare plant in Batangas produced 3.92 million cub motorcycles or 49 percent of total; 2.69 million units of business motorcycles (34 percent); 222,747 units of sports motorcycles (3 percent) and; 1.16 million units of automatic motorcycles or 15 percent.
HPI said its productiopn employs processes that prioritize safe, efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly technology, serving both people and the community.
