Holcim Philippines Inc. grew its profit in the first half of the year by 26 percent to P835.11 million from last year’s P661.46 billion.
Net sales rose 6 percent to P12.89 billion from P12.17 billion.
“Our focus on sustainability and innovation is continuing to pay off with more efficient operations and higher value offerings that are raising business performance. We are determined to further accelerate programs for decarbonization, circularity and digitalization to deliver better results and contribute to building progress in the country,” said Horia Adrian, Holcim chief executive officer.
“Guided by its sustainability direction, Holcim Philippines generated savings from more efficient logistics operations, plants’ fuel mix optimization, improved blended cement portfolio, and higher alternative fuel usage,” the company meanwhile said.
Holcim said it is committed to accelerate decarbonization and circularity in the construction industry as it joined the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in celebrating World Environment Day and Philippine Environment Month in June.
