Grab is encouraging its driver-partners to become members of the Social Security System (SSS) and Pag-IBIG Fund in ensuring safeguarding driver welfare.

Grab stressed that joining government programs empowers driver-partners to secure their future and access the many benefits and services offered by SSS and Pag-IBIG.

This was one of the highlights the Grab Family Wellness Fair at the Metrotent in Pasig featuring free health services and knowledge-sharing sessions as well as a safety training from Red Cross

Over 1,000 driver-partners and family members attended.

CJ Lacsican, head of Central Operations for Grab, said the company zeroed in on proper nutrition, effective stress management, preventive care and social protection “because we want to help them prioritize their own wellbeing, which is often overlooked due to the demanding nature of their livelihoods on the road.”

Alexander Hilario Aguilar, Pag-IBIG Fund deputy chief executive officer for Member Services, said thousands of Grab driver-partners have already registered as Pag-IBIG members, and now have secure savings and access to the Fund’s home loan programs.

“ We expect this to further rise in the coming months as we continue to strengthen our partnership,” Aguilar added.

Grab also has dedicated booths for SSS and Pag-IBIG fund in its partner center, ensuring that existing and aspiring driver-partners can easily connect with representatives from the agencies for queries and registration.
