GMA Network Inc. has reached 95.3 percent people in TV homes or 77.5 million viewers in total Philippines from January to October this year, according to Nielsen’s TV audience measurement data.
In a statement over the weekend, GMA said it currently has 95 TV stations all over the country, comprising of analog and digital TV broadcast stations strategically placed in key areas nationwide.
The company said it is set to unveil more digital TV stations that will further expand its coverage, including its supplemental channels GTV, I Heart Movies, Heart of Asia and Hallypop.
GMA’s latest digital upgrades include two additional stations in Legazpi and Zamboanga.
On radio, GMA’s flagship AM and FM stations likewise remain unmatched in Mega Manila, according to Nielsen’s latest radio audience measurement data for October.
Super Radyo DZBB recorded an audience share of 36.6 percent, besting its nearest competitor, DZRH, with 30.3 percent. Its FM counterpart, Barangay LS 97.1, got 40.2 percent which was way ahead of its rival, DZMB, with 12.9 percent.
Meanwhile, GMA said adding to its on-air strength is its online dominance that reaches Filipinos beyond television.
As of October, GMA’s official Facebook page has amassed 22.49 million likes.
During the same period also indicated that GMA’s Facebook video views were at 378.68 million. Facebook engagements were at 10.24 million.
