GMA Network widens reach

GMA Network Inc. continued to widen its viewership and reach in 2022, according to the latest data from Nielsen.

Based on Nielsen TV audience measurement data, GMA Network’s combined people net reach, including GTV and its other digital channels, was 96 percent or 78 million viewers in total Philippines.

GMA, GTV and the network’s digital channels I Heart Movies, Heart of Asia, and Hallypop registered a combined people audience share of 59.5 percent in total Philippines.

GMA was the most-watched channel in total Philippines in 2022 with 42.7 percent of people’s audience share.

GTV, the network’s second free-to-air channel, sustained its lead over counterparts.

GTV logged people audience share of 10.5 percent in total Philippines against its closest rival which got 9.8 percent.

GMA further widened its reach with a total of 95 TV stations all over the country, including its new Ilocos Norte station. Alongside its analog broadcast stations are its digital TV broadcast stations, which include the network’s Legazpi and Zamboanga stations.

GMA Network also dominated across various digital platforms, outperforming rivals in just two weeks of 2023.

From January 1 to 15, the network’s official YouTube channel tallied 167 million views against rival’s 158 million .

GMA Integrated News on YouTube recorded 61.5 million views versus rival’s 35 million.

GMA Public Affairs’ YouTube channel had 59.3 million views.

The network’s official website, GMANetwork.com, has generated an average of 3.7 million organic traffic for the first 15 days of the year according to search engine optimization tool Semrush.
