GCash and Airasia yesterday announced a partnership which will allow clients to pay for the carrier’s flight, hotel bookings and travel retail items using the former’s platform.
Customers booking flights on Airasia can secure mobile payments online through the GCash app, via the airasia super app or by logging on to airasia.com. On the airasia website, they can select their flights and add-ons and proceed to the payment page where they can pay via GCash on the “Wallet” tab. GCash can also be used to pay for airasia shop purchases such as travel essentials.
Customers can also use the GCash app to pay at airasia check-in counters nationwide when paying for their additional luggage, meals, and other add-ons when checking in. They can simply open the GCash app, scan the QR code, enter the amount, and pay.
Customers can enjoy an extra 10 percent for the flight portion on SNAP and partner hotels with the booking period from June 7 to 13, 2021. For partner hotels, an additional P500 discount can be availed of by the first 100 customers with a minimum purchase of P5,000.
