Dioceldo Sy, known as the father of cosmetics in the Philippines, is embarking on a new venture with BC Net, an internet service provider in the Philippines with an aim to bring Wi-Fi to far-flung remote areas.
Utilizing satellite and very small aperture terminal system, BC Net has been expanding its prepaid internet service that targets the unserved and underserved markets.
The company won the Free Wi-Fi For All bid conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
With Free Public Wi-Fi For All, public places in 20 provinces now enjoy internet, including Aurora, Batanes, Camarines Sur, Guimaras, Maguindanao, Romblon, Samar, Southern Leyte, Agusan Del Sur, Bohol, Catanduanes, Davao Del Norte, Davao Oriental, Eastern Samar, Marinduque, Masbate, Northern Samar, Palawan, Sorsogon, Surigao Del Norte, and Kalayaan.
BC Net also provides internet connectivity to companies and offers Voice Over Internet Platform , Subscription Revenues from Internet Customers, Pre-paid Wi-Fi Cards, Internet Installation Contracts, Sale of Apps and Hardware, Hosting Internet-Related Service Demands.
